WePower ICO Blockchain Based Green Energy Trading Platform

WePower proposes a blockchain-based green energy trading platform that directly connects producers with consumers. The most important mechanism of the WePower platform is to enable manufacturers to keep pace with the clean energy they create. This token (different from WPR) will represent 1 kWh of energy to be produced in the future and is a contract between producer and consumer.

Through these renewable energy tokenisasi, WePower aims to enable renewable energy producers to pre-sell their production on a global scale and get the capital needed to improve their profitability. WePower has a token 2 system (WPR token and 1 kwh energy token). With a WPR token holder will be able to receive 0.9% energy tokens produced by renewable crops. 1 energy token equal to 1 kwh.

The WPR token holder will receive 48 hours of priority access to participate in the auction to purchase this energy token energy once the renewable energy generation is connected to the platform. Each factory will set a minimum price per token, and the historical and current energy prices will now be visible on the platform to ensure a fair auction.

In addition, WPR token holders are entitled to not less than 0.9% of token energy contributed directly by renewable energy providers. The token holder has the option to use this energy, sell it before production, or sell it to the wholesale market when the product is manufactured. The WPR token model is designed to provide intrinsic value to investors in the form of energy. As the platform grows and sees more net energy producers coming in, WPR holders will be energized more over time, which should drive WPR demand up.

The energy sector is highly regulated and the landscapes are different in each country. It may be difficult for different companies / governments to join the idea of sharing a single platform. Even if the project succeeds in achieving its own growth project (which is usually on the optimistic and aggressive side), the rate of return adjusted for risk is not high. If we apply a 25% discount rate for the energy received as listed on page 11 of the white paper and assuming the ether price is $ 1,000, the total return on investment of 10 ETH over a 6 year period is 67%, or an annual combined 9% growth rate. It is considered low for cryptocurrency investment.
